01 / Features

A complete editor, minus the cloud.

On-device AI

Background removal

An ONNX segmentation model runs locally with WebAssembly. The first run downloads about 40 MB of model files; after that it's cached and works offline.

Privacy

Redaction

Black out names, addresses and account numbers before you share a screenshot. Boxes are flattened into the pixels on export, so they can't be peeled off.

Quantum-resistant

Encrypted .enc files

Lock any image behind a password. scrypt and AES-256-GCM hold up against known quantum attacks, and every file gets its own ML-KEM-768 key pair.

Editing

Draw, text, crop, transform

Brush, eraser, fill, text, crop, rotate, flip and resize, with full undo and redo history.

Color

Adjustments & filters

Brightness, contrast, saturation and hue, plus eight filters. Adjustment totals are tracked as you work.

Export

Compression with a size preview

Export PNG, JPG or WebP and see the exact output size as you move the quality slider.

02 / Encryption

Look inside a .enc file.

This demo runs the same code the editor uses, right here in your browser. It encrypts a small sample image with your password and shows the file it produces.

Your password is the key: it's stretched with scrypt (N = 217, 128 MiB of memory per guess) to make guessing expensive, and it's never stored or sent anywhere. A lost password can't be recovered, so pick a strong one.

03 / Compare

Where your image goes.

Most online editors process your photo on their servers. SafePic doesn't have servers to process it on.
